Setup
Set up Stream King IPTV on your device
Setup is the same idea on every device: install a player app, enter your login details, set the time zone, then organize your categories. This hub covers what's different for each kind of device — and when it's quicker to ask support.
Before you start
What you'll have after checkout
After you order, IPTV Services sends the login details for your plan. Its setup instructions describe a server (portal) address, a username and a password, entered in a player that supports that kind of login (often labelled “Xtream Codes API”).
Keep that message handy: you'll need it on each device you set up.
Every device
The five steps
- Install a player from your device's official app store.
- Choose the server/username/password login and type the details exactly — they're usually case-sensitive.
- Set your device time zone and automatic time, so guide listings line up.
- Open the categories you chose and favorite the channels you'll use most, if your player supports it.
- Test a few channels and a film at the time you'd normally watch.
Device by device
What's different on your device
Player menus change between app versions, so we haven't published screen-by-screen steps for every app. Support can match exact instructions to your device and player.
Smart TV
Samsung, LG and other smart TVs
- Open your TV's app store and search for an IPTV player that supports a server/username/password login.
- Some TV players show a device ID and ask you to activate the app on the maker's website, sometimes for a fee. That's the app maker's product — not part of your Stream King IPTV plan.
- TVs from different years run different software. If a player isn't offered for your model, a streaming stick is the usual workaround.
Streaming stick or Android TV box
Amazon Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV devices
- Install a player from the device's app store where one is available.
- Avoid sideloading apps from unknown websites; if anyone gives you a download code, confirm with support what it installs.
- Keep some storage free — guide data and app caches take space, and a full device slows players down.
Apple TV, iPhone or iPad
tvOS, iOS and iPadOS
- Install a player from the App Store on the Apple TV, iPhone or iPad you'll use.
- Apps can differ between App Store countries; check the player is offered in yours.
- On iPhone and iPad, Wi-Fi is better than mobile data for long viewing.
Android phone or tablet
Phones and tablets with Google Play
- Install a player from Google Play.
- Turn on your phone's automatic time zone so the guide lines up when you travel.
- Check your mobile data allowance before watching away from Wi-Fi.
Windows or Mac computer
Desktop and laptop computers
- Install a desktop player app that supports IPTV logins.
- A wired connection helps when Wi-Fi is weak in the room you watch from.
- Check your computer's time zone setting — a laptop set to another region shifts the guide.
Another set-top box
Boxes with their own portal or menu system
- Some set-top boxes use their own portal or login method rather than a standard player app.
- Tell support the exact make and model before buying, and ask which method it needs.
Program guide
Getting the guide right
Most “the guide is wrong” problems are a time-zone setting. If listings are missing for some channels, that's usually guide data rather than your setup.
